Chemicals, Waste and Circular economy

Experience, Knowledge, Reflection - a CV website

About me

I am an environmental scientist with a long and diverse career in chemicals, waste, and the circular economy.

I began in research, studying chemical risk assessment at the Italian National Institute of Health, and later worked at the Ministry of Environment on the evaluation and environmental permitting of large industrial facilities.

Over time, my path moved toward consultancy: I founded three firms that helped industries and governments develop practical, science-based solutions to environmental challenges.

For more than twenty years, I have been assisting over forty countries—many of them repeatedly—in designing and implementing bankable chemicals and waste projects under the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through various United Nations agencies.

My current focus includes persistent organic pollutants, mercury reduction, the prevention of e-waste and plastics, and the transition to circular business models.
